This weekend I have spent at DownTown Knits in Apex, NC. It’s an amazing yarn store with beautiful yarn.
Friday night I had a trunk show at the store. I got to show of my designs, including new ones. A lot of nice and interested knitters came, after my talk we sat and talked and knitted together – that’s always my favorite part, hanging out with and meeting new knitters.

On Saturday I taught a class on how to work with art yarn and on Sunday I taught my ‘design your own beautiful triangle shawl’-class. I had the same experience as Friday night; super sweet students, that were skilled, curious and interested.

On top of this I made a new friend; Michele, the owner of DownTown Knits.

We had a good talk about future collaborations, amongst which the first already has set sail; an upcoming collection using WATERshed, by Harrisville Designs. A beautiful, soft, aran weight, tweedy yarn, produced in the US. I brought my collection of swatches

– this is going to be a lot of fun!
I’ll be back at DTK later this year, which I am looking very much forward to. But first of is my trip to Chicago, including live ‘couple’s therapy for you and your knitting’ at Stitches Midwest and my 2 days at Windy Knitty. Remember to sign up for the workshops on their website. I almost can’t wait for this.
